European Economic Summits
During the second half of October I will be in Europe following invitations to participate in two economic summits to discuss the future of the global economy.
On October 21-23 I will be attending ‘Reawakening‘ hosted by the Institute for New Economic Thinking to discuss “the Origins of Economic Ideas to the Challenges of Our Time” in Edinburgh, Scotland. The following week on October 26 and 27 I will be participating in an economic workshop to discuss Solutions for the Environment, Economy, and Democracy (SEED) hosted at the University of Siegen, Germany by the Center for Communication and Civic Engagement at the University of Washington and other economic think-tanks and partners.
During these two European summits I look forward to engaging with other thought leaders who like myself know that the economics of the last century no longer sufficiently describe societal reality. That like any other technology ever invented, we must #UpgradeEconomics to allow us to #GoBeyondGDP.
