Personalized Foresight: Personal Futures as your north star of life.
What are personal futures?
Personal futures, are explorations of the future of one individual–you–and the futures that directly involve you and your family.
To learn how to think about and plan for the future–your future–we use the same methods that professional futurists use for large businesses and organizations but scaled down to fit your life.
What am I offering here?
Our program will occur in three sections. First, you will receive an intake email with directions for how to prepare for your session which should take you about 1 hour. Second, a primary Zoom or in-person (local only) session of roughly 2-hours with me to take you through the main process of building and exploring your futures. Finally, you will receive a brief homework assignment and we will have a follow-up conversation a 3-7 days later via Zoom to chat about how the process felt for you.
What your personal futures will consist of:
- We begin by creating a framework of information about your life to use as a foundation for the following steps and exercises.
- Using the framework we explore your plausible futures with scenarios to consider what your futures could be and which you might prefer.
- From the scenarios, we develop a vision of your future, devise strategies to achieve your vision and make action plans for your future.
- You can share this vision and action plan with your family and friends to increasingly make it “real” as you work towards your preferred future. If you have a coach, trainer, therapist, or financial advisor, they will be excited to help you navigate the times ahead to realize your vision!
Testimonials
"This exercise was eye-opening, to say the least! I am a personal development junkie as I am an entrepreneur and a business educator. Always looking to improve. I thought I had done it all. (i.e. goal setting exercises, vision boards, etc.). Doing the Personal Futures program was the best I have ever done. It allowed me to dive a bit deeper into my true desires and goals that the other methods haven't done. I highly recommend the 1-on-1 program so that you have that extra 3rd-person perspective that is able to see the things right in front of you that you couldn't see on your own." – SS
